DISTANCE EDUCATION PROGRAM

Program Purpose

In order to help students—especially those with geographic and time constraints—facilitate their learning and make academic progress more effectively and efficiently, TIS Distance Education Program is designed as the institutional provision of support which involves no on-site attendance or face-to-face contact on the part of the students. This program is offered for all degree programs in TIS.

Faculty Care Students

Students can easily access their instructors from the time of their enrollment.

This is typically done by email transmission. Thus every student enrolled in this program will have access to the instructors of courses. They are especially required additional efforts to make effective teaching for his/her distance program courses and interactions with distance program students through unique communication methodologies. To ascertain this, the followings are required to TIS Distance Education Program instructors.

  1. Interaction between professor and students

Every instructor can sign up for the appointed time with the student via cyber meeting or email.

  1. Submission of Students’ Progress Report

Based on this every week activity, the instructor should submit progressive report for the student to the TIS Distance Education Program Director more than three times per semester. After reviewing those reports, the director may contacts the Registrar and the Academic Dean to discuss any academic advisory if necessary.
